For one of my final demo reel projects at Gnomon I wanted to collaborate on a cinematic short. I've had this story bouncing around my brain for years, and these past several months, I felt that I was finally equipped to translate it into something real.
There were so many people eager to help with this piece, and the excitement and hard work that everyone brought to the table made this project a million times more meaningful to me and elevated it far beyond what I'd imagined.
I'm immensely grateful to everyone that helped this project along. Many, many thanks to Jared Fischler, who began this long journey with me, never failed to find the best path forward, and truly pushed this story into being; Meg Mjaatvedt, for breathing life into the characters and going above and beyond with her animation; Brandon Zhao, for stellar effects; Matthew Rom, for on-the-fly rigging; Miguel Ortega & Tran Ma for their invaluable insight and guidance, and Andrea Adams, Beau Janzen, and Max Dayan for all their assistance and support.
Although this is just the very beginning of the story, it's been a hell of a ride, and I cannot wait for what comes next.
